Thiesenring (engl.)
The Thiesenring is a very variable trail and can be extended in many ways. The hiking trail impresses with a large number of viewpoints, historical sites (castles, mines and old trade routes), natural beauty and the constant change between forest and clearing, mountain and valley. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Hike:
From the parking lot at the Anger in Bad Berneck, the trail leads along the Sonnenweg, the Hohe Warte and the Kirchleite through the Knodental valley. Continue along the Schlossleitenweg into the Ölschnitztal valley and to Thiesenfels. From there, the trail continues to Ludwigfels, Andreashofer Felsen and along Siemensstraße to Eisenleite. From the Vordere Warmeleite via the Gärtnereiweg back to the starting point.
A visit to the dendrological garden and the castle ruins is well worthwhile.
